This amp is the successor to the 70th anniversary edition amp MC2152. It features a more conventional design from McIntosh. It can be thought of as the bigger brother to the popular MC275 VI, or two of them put together (twice the power). It provides all the performance of the 70th anniversary MC2152, but at a much lower price point. It features 150W per channel into 2, 4, or 8 ohms. It uses 8 x KT88's for the output stage (4 per channel), 4 x 12AX7A's and 4 x 12AT7 for the input (2 of each per channel). McIntosh's Sentry Monitor technology is also present here to protect the tube circuit.
